Blake and I met in the summer of 2015 but never hung out together until late October of that same year. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other mostly in group settings with friends at their houses or out at the bars. In mid-December, we went on our first date and for the first time it was just the two of us. I was extremely nervous beforehand and almost backed out but luckily a friend basically told me I had to. She knew we both liked each other.

What started as a night of worry quickly turned into relaxed conversations, delicious food and lots of laughter. From then on we have had five and half years of laughs, many trips, learning experiences, one dog and more.

"My Vayda Jane Story: Before going to look at wedding dresses I was extremely anxious. With COVID a lot of companies were shut down and my wedding a just over 6 months out I knew we were on a time crunch. I was happy to have a place local to go to with close family and was able to facetime in additional close friends and family who couldn't be there.

Shelby was such a delight to work with, as she was so patient, honest and had an incredible selection picked out for me to try on.
The dress I ended up choosing was not a style I pictured myself in before but after trying it on I was immediately in love! Shelby was able to recommend customizing details that really made my heart happy. From the veil to the sash belt and added sleeve details, it turned out perfect. 😍

I wanted all my bridesmaids to choose a style dress that made them feel great and that they would be comfortable in. Vayda Jane allowed them all to try on many different styles and find their favorite fit. It was such a fun experience! All the bridesmaids dresses turned out beautiful and were better than how even imagined them.
