My fiancé and I had known each other as adults. I was home from school because of COVID. He was working at my childhood church that I started attending again when I moved back home.
ordan seemed like someone I would want to spend everyday with. He was mature, followed through with what he said he would do, listened well, had intentionality, and on top of all that we had fun when we hung out. I hadn’t seen all of those things with previous guys I dated. I knew Jordan was someone I could build a life with that had a foundation that wouldn’t shake.
We had been doing long distance and Jordan surprised me one weekend in March. We made plans to go to dinner with friends and Jordan said he wanted to show me a park monument or something random which isn’t really that out of the blue for himHe had arranged a luxury picnic for us and that’s when he asked. The dinner with friends” was actually an engagement party. It was perfect.
We decided to have just immediate family only and I’m so glad we did because I felt like I was really able to enjoy the evening because there wasn’t a million things to be doing or places to be. My parents worked so hard on making the backyard so beautiful."
