My husband was my cousin’s roommate, and I stayed there during a portion of Quarantine in 2020. We got to know each other really well and just clicked! I saw how caring and helpful to others he was, and how sweet and kind he was to me, and I knew this is the one! He listened to me, checked on me, and did all these little things to show how much he cared about me. He made me so happy (still does), and I never knew what I was missing until I met him! He trusted me and I trusted him with everything, and he has made my life so much brighter! After seeing all this and getting to know him, I knew that I had found my lifelong partner who I wanted to do life with!
He proposed at his sister’s wedding, and she was about to do the bouquet toss, when she turned around and handed it to me, I thought that it was just a sweet gesture, until she turned me around and I saw him on his knee with a ring out asking me to marry him! I was so shocked and surprised all I could do was nod in response! It was such a creative and unique way to do it, and it was very sweet that his sister shared her wedding and helped plan that little moment! The wedding was amazing! The weather was good, and we were able to have the dream outdoor wedding we always wanted! We had an amazing after party and were grateful that so many people had traveled so far to celebrate with us! He has family in Indiana, and I have family in Chicago, so it really meant a lot for everyone to make it! It was definitely a night to remember!
