We met in high school! His mom was my cheer coach all throughout school, so I always knew who he was. He didn’t even notice me until my junior year. We didn’t really have a special moment when we met, we were both too scared to talk to one another. I had graduated from Army basic combat training Nov 30, 2023, I had been gone since July 10, 2023. He proposed Dec 2, 2023. The days leading up to the proposal I got pampered. I got my nails and hair done for free (little did i know he was paying for it all and not my mom). We went to our local park looking at the Christmas lights with my family. I thought we were just taking a picture in front of some of them. He had a hidden photographer and his family and my best friends hiding. I had absolutely no clue about any of it. After, him and my best friends threw me a welcome home/engagement party. I was shocked by everything and had absolutely zero clue, it was the best! It was the most perfect day. it could not have gone better. the weather couldn’t have been more beautiful, everything went so smoothly. I don’t think there’s one thing i would change.”
