Funny enough, I knew for a long time that he was going to propose. My best friend and I would talk about it constantly. We drove to my cousin’s wedding in TN the weekend of my birthday, and my whole family would comment to him “when are you going to propose?” We drove home the morning after the wedding, and when we got inside, I started unpacking. I heard him gasp and say, “babe, what is in the sink?” I came to the kitchen to see what the problem was, and after looking in the sink, I turned around, he was on one knee. It still makes me laugh to this day. He always wanted to take me by surprise, and he definitely achieved that! It was so special to have that moment to ourselves in our first home. 🤍
We got married on the top of a mountain in The Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee! Our venue was incredible, and our cabin was right next to the venue! Waking up the morning of my wedding with my two best friends and drinking my coffee while looking at the mountains was a memory I’ll never forget. Now, every time I think of the mountains, I think of my love.
