I knew Caleb was the one probably before we were even dating. I had a crush on him all throughout elementary school and we were close friends all throughout high school. Eventually we decided to give dating a shot, and now here we are! My feelings that he was probably the one were solidified because of how comfortable I felt around him, and how well we understood each other. I don’t think there was really an exact moment, but more of a realization that I’ll never have this connection with anyone else. He’s my best friend and now my husband!
The day that we got engaged, was on a Sunday after church! We went to get fall pictures”, which he knew I wanted to get done, so he planned them all by himself. As we were getting our pictures done I did have hopes that maybe it would be the day, but it got to the end of our session and nothing had happened yet so I let it go… but then our photographers next client “cancelled”, so she had some extra time to spare. We decided to take some more pictures and by this point, I definitely did not think it was happening. But sure enough in our last pose of the shoot, he got down on one knee (I think I blacked out because I don’t remember a word he said…). Of course I was freaking out with excitement and said yes!!!
Our wedding day genuinely was the BEST day of my life. We got married on October 4th, just short of a year of being engaged. The weather could not have been more perfect, and thank goodness because we planned an outdoor ceremony! Our day was filled with love, laughter, dancing, and so many memories that I will never forget. I think I’ll forever be wishing that we could go back and relive it just for one day. (also forever wishing I could wear my dress again)
My experience of choosing my wedding dress with Vayda Jane honestly could not have been any better. Everyone who I talked to seemed to genuinely love their job, and they were all so kind. I loved the process of picking out the dresses, and also LOVED the variety they had to offer. I would recommend this store to anyone and everyone!! 🤍
